Wearable Technologies

Although this topic is not new in the medical field, it is becoming more popular as consumer products. Some of the more popular ones are the Fitbit which is a pedometer and tracks sleeping patterns, Nike FuelBand which tracks your activity, Samsung Galaxy Gear which is a smartwatch, and Google Glass, the glasses that have a built -in camera and small view screen. TLT has acquired Google Glass and reviewing this new tech to see how it may be incorporated into teaching and learning.

Educause, a leading non-profit association whose mission is to advance higher education through the use of information technology, publishes a popular review of need-to-know digital trends in its 7 Things You Should Know About series.
