ANGEL File Problem with "&" and ".."
Since our March update this week, we have been experiencing a problem with the way ANGEL now handles files containing certain reserved characters in their filename. Uploaded ANGEL files named with an ampersand ( & ) or two periods ( .. ) may not open, and you may get a "400 - The request was not understood" error. For example, "Health & Wellness.doc" or "Heart..ppt" may not open in ANGEL and give an error.
We are working to identify and rename/fix all these files in our ANGEL system. Please let us know if you receive a "400 - The request was not understood." error when opening an ANGEL file, so we can rename/fix that file for you.
If you upload a new file into ANGEL and that filename contains reserved characters, ANGEL will automatically replace any reserved characters with an underscore (_), so you should not have this problem with files uploaded since Wednesday (3/23) morning.
We apologize for the inconvenience this problem is causing you and your students.
