Blackboard Upgrade Troubleshooting

Some users have been experiencing problems in Blackboard following the migration (5/21-5/25) from self-hosted servers to Blackboard-hosted services. If you are having trouble accessing the site or using certain site features, such as moving content with drag and drop, we recommend you follow the simple troubleshooting instructions below that will help you resolve the problem.

  1. Clear your internet browser’s complete (not just recent) history: cache, cookies, etc.
  2. Update your browser to the latest version
  3. Restart Browser
  4. Complete the Browser Test Module on the Welcome page of Blackboard—New Feature!
  5. If any changes are made to your browser settings after the using the Browser Test feature please restart your browser again.

*Please note that some required Java components on Blackboard are not currently available when using Chrome as your browser. The Blackboard site is still functional while using Chrome, but any interactive media resources in your courses that require the use of Java applets will not work in Chrome.
